Rich, hand-chosen red cedar strips give this bookshelf a unique and vibrant look. Rare purple heartwood from South America affords the perfect accent to really make this piece stand out. As this is finished with the same fiberglass resin as on our watercraft, this canoe bookshelf appears smooth, glossy and luxurious.

This canoe was 100% handcrafted by experienced and skillful boat builder. It was made of canadian western red cedar and encapsulated in fiberglass. Although this item was made the same way as we would make a full size one, this is used only for display due to its small size. We have 12 foot -18 foot canoe that are available for paddling on the water.

This canoe is completely handcrafted and it typically takes about 500 hours to build one. We still use the traditional method of constructions while integrating the highest quality of materials currently available. Strips of mahogany are joined together by hand and encapsulated in fiberglass bonded in place with epoxy resin then coated with marine vanish. This combination of fiberglass and epoxy is very strong and completely transparent so that the beauty of the wood will be protected for generations.
